Stella Blu’s Water Colour Tribute To Hidden Figures

By January 16, 2017 No Comments

We stumbled on Stella Blu’s tweet recently and were amazed at the sheer brilliance! Hidden Figures is a riveting movie based on a True story and non-fiction book of the same name.
The film recounts the story of three African-American women who worked at NASA and helped the United States advance during the Space Race. These 3 brilliant African-American women – Katherine Johnson (played by Taraji P. Henson), Dorothy Vaughan (played by Octavia Spencer) and Mary Jackson (played by Janelle Monáe) — serve as the brains behind one of the greatest operations in history: the launch of astronaut John Glenn (Glen Powell) into orbit, a stunning achievement that restored the nation’s confidence, turned around the Space Race and galvanized the world.
This enactment is what Stella Blu adored and decided to honour the story and actresses of Hidden Figures by creating stunning Water Colour portraits of these women. The mathematical and aeronautical details of these portraits will knock your socks off.

If you’ve not seen Hidden Figures, you should totally see it and be in awe of what these women achieved!
