After Seeing The Glorious Trailer, We Think It’s Time To Read ‘A Wrinkle In Time’

Ava Duvernay is the queen of visionary films! And it’s always been a thing of joy to stalk her Twitter and gaze upon her fascinating twitter bio which says mother of 9 and she proceeds to list the visions she has birthed, A wrinkle in time is her new born – the new baby!
Of course, Ava Duvernay’s production of A wrinkle in time is totally badass. She has a history of creating earth moving narrative to rock you to the core.

The scene where Oprah in what seems like the stance of Storm takes the cake – it’s absolutely glorious.

A Wrinkle in Time is a science fantasy novel written by American writer Madeleine L’Engle, first published in 1963, and in 1979 with illustrations by Leo and Diane Dillon. The book won the Newbery Medal, Sequoyah Book Award, and Lewis Carroll Shelf Award
The story is about 13-year-old Meg Murry’s classmates and teachers see her as a troublesome and stubborn student. Her family knows that she is emotionally immature but also sees her capable of doing great things. The family includes her beautiful scientist mother, her missing scientist father, her athletic 10-year-old twin brothers, Sandy and Dennys; and her five-year-old brother Charles Wallace Murry, a child prodigy genius who can sometimes read Meg’s mind.

Young actress Storm Reid stars as Meg Murry, with a glorious-star cast of adult actors backing her up, including Oprah Winfrey as Mrs. Which, Reese Witherspoon as Mrs. Whatsit, and Mindy Kaling as Mrs. Who. Gugu Mbatha-Raw and Chris Pine play Meg’s parents, Dr. Kate Murry and the mysteriously-missing Dr. Alex Murry. Newcomer Deric McCabe plays Meg’s gifted little brother, Charles Wallace.
Simply can’t wait for the movie in 2018.
