Are You Eligible? Key Requirements for Application
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Design, Marketing, Computer Science, or related field.
- 5+ years of design experience with proven ability to create visual assets using design principles (typography, color theory, layout, composition).
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) or similar design software.
- Experience with brand design and creating materials for digital platforms under guidance.
- Strong collaboration skills and ability to work effectively within creative teams.
- Basic understanding of marketing concepts and willingness to learn multimedia design including motion graphics and video production.
What You’ll Actually Do!
We’re hiring a Brand Designer to support our Senior Brand Designer and creative team in executing visual projects for Interswitch, Africa’s leading digital payments platform. This is a learning-focused position where you’ll work under supervision to create marketing materials, maintain brand guidelines, and contribute to design projects while developing your skills in a collaborative environment.
- Assist in creating and maintaining visual identity elements under senior designer supervision.
- Design marketing and communication materials for digital and print platforms following established brand guidelines.
- Support design strategy implementation by executing tasks assigned by senior team members. Participate in design reviews offering input and feedback to improve design quality.
- Attend team meetings, contribute ideas during brainstorming sessions, and communicate project progress to stakeholders.
- Conduct quality control checks on design deliverables to ensure brand consistency and accuracy.
Key Skills & Competencies:
Technical
- Visual design fundamentals, branding principles, digital design basics, basic project management understanding, and trend awareness.
Behavioral
- Strong collaboration and teamwork abilities, learning agility, attention to detail, problem-solving skills, emotional intelligence, and commitment to continuous learning.
Optional but beneficial
- Certifications in UX Design, Marketing, Agile Methodologies, or Project Management.
