At Noisy Streetss Publishing, our mission is to spotlight new, experimental, and refreshing voices. We pride ourselves on innovative publishing, dynamic storytelling, and amplifying writers through creative, modern channels that reach a global readership. You can make our House, your Home.

We welcome a wide range of submissions from African writers, including:

• Fiction (romance, literary fiction, contemporary, speculative, historical, etc.)
• Non-fiction (memoirs, personal essays, cultural commentary, etc.)
• Poetry collections
• Anthologies
• Historical, social, and cultural projects
• Works written in indigenous or traditional African languages

For our 2026 publishing slate, we are targeting 5–10 publications, with a special interest in high-quality African romance, love stories, and literary fiction.

Before submitting, please read the guidelines below carefully.

1. Eligibility

• Each writer may submit one manuscript per submission window.
• Multiple submissions from the same writer during the same season may result in disqualification.
• We accept unpublished, original work only.

2. What to Include in Your Email

In the body of your email, please include a short author query introducing:

• Who you are (brief bio: location, background, previous publications—if any).
• The title and type of work you are submitting.

3. Files to Attach

Attach two separate Word documents (.doc or .docx):

File 1: One-Page Synopsis

Your synopsis must:

• Summarise the full storyline or project clearly.
• Include major plot points, character arcs, central themes, and the ending.

File 2: Manuscript Sample

Submit one of the following:

• The first three chapters, or
• The first 9,000 words, or
• For poetry/essay collections: the first three pieces.

4. Formatting Requirements

Your manuscript sample must be formatted as follows:

• Font: Source Sans, 11 pt
• Spacing: single-spaced
• Alignment: centre-justified
• Page Size: A4
• File Format: Microsoft Word only

Submissions that do not follow these formatting standards may not be considered.

5. Review and Response Time

• Our editorial team reviews all submissions with attention.
• If we are interested in moving forward, you will hear from us within four weeks requesting additional materials or a full manuscript.
• If we do not select your manuscript, we will try to give feedback. You are welcome to submit again during the next season.

6. What We’re Not Accepting

• We are currently not accepting hard copy or physical submissions.
• Only digital submissions sent to our official email will be reviewed.
