Creative Direction Labs 2025: Where Women Architects Step into Creative Leadership

A For Creative Girls x Mosh & Shout collaboration

Creative Direction Labs by For Creative Girls and Mosh & Shout - for who - Spatial Design and Built Environment

Architecture shapes cities — but the stories of the women who design those cities often go untold.

We’re here to change that.

This November, For Creative Girls is joining forces with Mosh & Shout to launch an intensive two-weekend Lab designed specifically for women in architecture who want to define their creative position, build a recognizable brand identity, and lead the narratives shaping the spaces we live in.

Creative Direction Labs: Built Environment Edition gives emerging women architects the chance to take on real projects from architecture, design, and real estate, and direct the creative vision behind them.

Because women belong at the forefront of how the world is built and how it is seen.

You get Creative Direction Labs 2025.

This November, For Creative Girls is teaming up with Mosh & Shout for a two-weekend creative intensive where women get the chance to work on branding and marketing concepts for projects in the built environment, think commercial furniture, architectural firms, real estate developments, and design studios.

Why Creative Direction Labs?

So many brilliant women in architecture are designing incredible work… yet still struggle to be seen, recognized, or positioned as leaders.

This Lab exists to help you own your brilliance.

It’s about stepping into the Creative Director’s seat – where ideas, storytelling, and design direction start.

Inside the Lab, you’ll learn how to:

  • Craft and communicate your brand story
  • Position your architectural practice and identity
  • Build visual and narrative strategies clients can feel
  • Pitch your ideas with clarity and power
  • Lead the room – not just work within it

We’re here to break ceilings, not just build under them.

What’s inside the Lab?

Over two weekends — Nov 21–22 and Nov 28–29, 2025 — 12 selected women from our network will join small squads and move through:

  • Weekend 1 (Immersion + Ideation):
Learn the industry context, get a real client brief, and brainstorm in your group.
  • Between Weekends:
Take what you’ve started, refine with your team, and prep for round two.
  • Weekend 2 (Creation + Presentation):
Turn ideas into full concepts, present them, and get feedback that pushes you further.

Each session runs for about 4 hours, designed to balance learning, working, and team collaboration.

Who is this for?

Women in architecture who are ready to:

  • Strengthen their creative positioning
  • Build a distinct, recognizable brand identity
  • Explore the intersection of architecture, branding, and storytelling
  • Practice leadership in a collaborative, supportive space

If you’re ready to shift from executing ideas to leading them — the Lab is calling you.

Whether you’re a designer, aspiring creative director, or a branding junkie curious about the built environment, this is your chance to practice and grow.

Why the Built Environment?

Because design isn’t just screens and logos – it’s the chairs we sit on, the buildings we walk into, the homes we live in, the studios we dream from.

Mosh & Shout works with clients in commercial furniture, architecture, design, and real estate, and Creative Direction Labs puts you right at the intersection of branding and spatial design.

It’s about shaping how people experience the world around them, and women deserve to be at the forefront of that.

How to apply?

Applications open on October 21, 2025 and close on November 7, 2025.

Spots are limited to just 12 women, so bring your best energy.
