The Digital Lab Africa call for projects targets artists, producers, designers, startups, students in the media and creative industries. The call is open to any individual from the Sub-Saharan African region having an innovative project in 5 categories of multimedia production: web creation, virtual reality, video game, animation and digital music.

The applicants have to be based in this region or being nationals of one of the Sub-Saharan African countries, provided the project development is mostly implemented locally.
Digital Lab Africa is looking for projects at an initial stage of development, in need of partners and financial support and innovative in terms of narration, content or technologies. Digital Lab Africa - Video game

5 submission categories: Web Creation, Virtual Reality, Video Games, Animation, Video Games

Video Game category: All prototypes/concepts of video game for mobile or any platform. Video game projects with creative storytelling/experience and using innovative technologies will be considered first.

To win [Video Game category] : 3,000EUR cash prize and a tailored-made incubation programme including:
– mentorship sessions by leading studio from France and Sub Saharan African region
– residence time within digital cluster/hub in France
– participation at international gaming industry events

The objective of Digital Lab Africa (DLA) is to provide a springboard for creatives to jump-start and accelerate their projects with the support and expertise of French and Sub-Saharan African leading companies (studios, producers, broadcasters, distributors, experts).
