Have you seen bold women, real stories, and power in motion? That’s exactly what HER, the brand-new docuseries from Zikoko under Big Cabal Media, is serving. And honestly? We’re so here for it.

HER is directed by the amazing Aisha Nana Salaudeen the award-winning journalist who brought magic to CNN African Voices. We foresee HER becoming a strong media force that zooms in on the stories of Nigerian women who are quietly owning the game in tech, art, business, beauty, and beyond. They’re not just working behind the scenes. They’re reshaping culture, building wealth, and doing it all with heart, hustle, and resilience.

You might say this docuseries isn’t really doing anything new, but here’s what’s new & refreshing – storytelling with more honesty. It’s telling the kind of women’s stories that don’t come with hashtags. The kind of stories that sit behind “just doing my work,” and “I’m not that interesting.” The kind of stories that remind you: visibility doesn’t always look like volume.

IBK’s episode, the very first one had me smiling the kind that breaks from your lips when someone says something that feels both familiar and genius!

She’s one of the co-founders of PiggyVest, but not the one you often see in flashy interviews. Her story unfolds like a behind-the-scenes masterclass in systems, intentionality, and quiet leadership. And I found myself wondering how many women like her hold up industries but stay out of frame.

What do we love most about ‘HER’ … It doesn’t scream “representation.” It whispers “you’re not alone.

We can picture it showing how women can be strong and soft, loud and lowkey, career-focused and creative, all at once. It’s the kind of content that doesn’t just reflect what’s possible—it reflects what already is, even if the world doesn’t clap for it enough.

Would we recommend it? 1000%.

Especially if you’re tired of performative narratives about “boss babes” and you want something that feels closer to home. This is the good stuff. The stuff you watch and then immediately send to your group chat or giggle while telling your friend that  “you have to see this.”

Big shout out to Zikoko, Aisha Salaudeen, and the entire team for holding space for stories like these. Stories that don’t try to impress, but just insist on being told.

HER is streaming now on YouTube. Check it out you’ll definitely feel seen and if you’re still feeling the energetic vibes of wanting more, click on this link.
