Numbers usually just sit there—static, lifeless, waiting for someone to make sense of them. But what if they could move? What if data could tell its own story, shape-shifting into motion, revealing patterns, insights, and meaning with every frame?

This is the world Ilenia Notarangelo and her team at Algo are creating. They don’t just visualize data—they bring it to life. Using motion and code, they have found a way to blend motion design with automation, making it possible to generate videos from data at scale. That means companies can share updates, insights, and stories in a way that’s clear, engaging, and easy to understand—without having to manually create each video.

Ilenia Notarangelo is an Italian designer and Creative Director. After her degree in Cinema & Media Engineering and work experiences both in the cinema and digital industries, she founded with Luca Gonnelli illo.tv and Algo, both studios with a focus on motion design.

At Algo, spreadsheets transform into dynamic videos. Dashboards become storytelling tools. Instead of staring at endless numbers, you see movement, rhythm, clarity. A stock market shift turns into a flowing animation. A football match’s key moments assemble themselves into a highlight reel. A company’s performance metrics become a watchable, shareable story.

Think about sports highlights that update in real time, financial reports that explain trends visually, or even personalized videos that show you the information you actually care about. Instead of staring at endless charts, you get a video that tells the story for you.

The best part? It’s not just about making things look good—it’s about making data useful. Ilenia and her team believe that information should be accessible and easy to grasp, and their work helps businesses, newsrooms, and platforms share their insights in a way that feels human. Their work is a testament to the idea that automation doesn’t have to strip away creativity—it can enhance it, making stories more accessible, more engaging, and more meaningful than ever before.

At the end of the day, algo.tv proves that data doesn’t have to be dry. When it’s designed well, it can be just as engaging as a great story.
