Headspace is looking for a Senior Copywriter in Santa Monica with a strong track record of creative copywriting, with a deep understanding of how copy helps users engage with a brand or product, who can translate the values and virtues of Headspace across a variety of formats as we grow and expand.
The ideal candidate should have outstanding written sensibility, a flair for sparkling copy, feel comfortable concepting projects big and small, and knows how to write like a human being, not a bot or corporate talking head. You should be comfortable and confident in your own writing, and have a great mix of judgment, creative thinking, flexibility, a learning-mindset, and be passionate about our mission to improve the health and happiness of the world.
Experience with meditation or writing for wellness/health brands is a strong plus.
How your skills and passion will come to life at Headspace:
You’ll brainstorm, write, and concept everything from promotional campaign slogans to emails and push notifications to web pages, social ads and more.
Work closely with product managers, designers, producers and marketers across all internal teams to drive innovative thinking and deliver beautiful, engaging experiences that people love.
Respond to data and analytics to iterate and test copy based on what works and what doesn’t.
Take ownership of copy briefs and deliver on them to a high standard of creative excellence.
Offer creative ideas and encourage others to share theirs, including working with junior writers to improve their copy and concepting skills.
You have a good sense of humor and a desire to help make the world a healthier, happier place; you’re willing to experiment and stretch outside your comfort zone.

What you’ve accomplished:
Journalism or English degree (preferred).
5-7 years of professional writing experience at a top-tier agency, product or content company
Ad copywriting experience, ideally in the digital space/growth marketing
Experience writing UX copy in a digital or app environment
Proven success working collaboratively and presenting ideas to groups, teams, and key stakeholders
Proven success integrating feedback and tracking multiple deadlines.
Familiarity and savvy with direct marketing copy
Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects, switching back and forth seamlessly
Effective communication skills when working with other disciplines to ensure a message is on-brand
