She Reads Truth is a worldwide community of women who read God’s Word together every day and we’re looking for a Creative Director to join us in this pursuit. The Creative Director is responsible for all creative operations for the entire family of brands, including online and offline efforts. This employee oversees the work of all creative employees and contractors to preserve the standards of creative excellence, timeliness, and profitability of She Reads Truth. The Creative Director is an organized ideator with vision for the future as well as an inspirational team leader who can elevate others.
Primary Responsibilities
- Set the overall direction for all projects and provide support and feedback to designers
- Oversee departmental budget to execute all necessary projects throughout the editorial calendar
- Manage daily schedules of Creative department based on needs and production calendar
- Support Marketing department to deliver required assets
- Work alongside Editorial team to ensure vision for content is achieved aesthetically
- Communicate with outside contractors and artists on details around projects or licensing
- Spearhead special projects that fall outside editorial calendar
- Offer new product and content ideas to leadership and take practical steps toward completion of projects
Qualifications
- Background in graphic design with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience
- Proven experience leading a team
- Proficiency across the Adobe Creative Suite
- Ability to clearly and confidently verbalize design decisions
- Willingness to collaborate with other creative decision-makers
- Possess a strong portfolio of relevant work
- Experience managing a creative team
- Strong understanding of a production calendar and editorial process
- Ability to work well under tight deadlines
- Experience in executing print and digital product
- Ability to manage multiple projects at once and thrive in a collaborative team environment
- Ability to work autonomously and joyfully serve with a cheerful attitude
- Discern confidential information and maintain confidentiality
- Understanding of, and appreciation for, the She Reads Truth sensibility, brand, aesthetic, and mission
