Toyin Ojih Odutola is a visual artist based in New York, NY. She creates drawings utilizing diverse mediums to emphasize the streaked terrain of an image and its formulaic and gloriously detailed representations. We are in awe of her work!
Toyin Ojih Odutola was born in Ife, Nigeria, 1985. She received her BA from the University of Alabama in Huntsville (2008) and completed her MFA at California College of the Arts in San Francisco (2012).
In 2013, her first museum solo exhibition, “Toyin Ojih Odutola: The Constant Wrestler,” opened at the Indianapolis Museum of Contemporary Art. She has participated in several group shows including “Ballpoint Pen Drawing Since 1950,” Aldrich Contemporary Art Museum, “Fore,” Studio Museum in Harlem, “The Moment for Ink”.
