Who We Are
The American Society of Adaptation Professionals (ASAP) is a professional association and social impact network for the climate change adaptation and climate resilience community. Together with our members and partners, we are advancing the field of climate change adaptation by learning from Western science, Indigenous knowledge, and the lived experience of those addressing climate impacts in their own communities. ASAP members build essential climate resilience for communities, ecosystems, and economies across North America – ASAP keeps them connected, sharing, learning, and adapting.

Each year, ASAP trains hundreds of practitioners, students, workers, and applied researchers across all sectors, industries and regions in North America. Our virtual and in-person training programs use an engaging set of strategies to educate and inspire learners, helping them meet their adaptation goals by aligning their practice with the principles and strategies that lead to just, equitable, and effective climate change adaptation work. We draw on our professional guidance resources and robust network of experts to ensure excellence in training design and delivery.
