The Creative Youth Advisory Council is calling all creatives aged between 16-30 who are thought leaders and passionate about social change and creating solutions within the creative industry.
The Assembly Hub officially launches its Creative Youth Advisory Council(CYAC), a 2 year Pan-African advisory board council membership for young creatives and social impact leaders who are interested in creating value within the creative industry.
The aim of this initiative is to ensure that the needs, ideas, and solutions of young creatives across the fashion value chain are mainstreamed into the organisation’s work and governance. The Assembly firmly believes that African creativity is the future and creatives have agency over how they learn and collaborate therefore, they want to intentionally decentralise power with young African creatives giving them the opportunity and support to
fully embody their roles as thought leaders and change-makers.
For a period of two years, the council members – together with The Assembly – will take on leadership roles in different capacities including policy making and inclusive social impact advocacies for growth, gender, disability justice and intergenerational leadership.
The Assembly particularly wants to hear from young creatives across Africa and those living with a disability, who have functional spoken and written skills in English, committed and passionate about the creative industry and social justice.
