The Garden Grant is an arts grant for experimental projects by diverse, multidisciplinary creatives. We believe that whimsy is vital, and we welcome broad and varied definitions of art. The Garden Grant supports beautiful ideas for clearly-defined, short-term projects by individuals (not organizations), and we do not require applicants to be 501(c)(3) nonprofits to apply.
They want to see art as expressions of joy; art as activism; art as civic engagement.
The less traditional your idea, the better.
The global pilot of the Garden Grant is supported by the Ford Foundation, so they are excited to welcome applicants from Ghana, Kenya, and Mexico.
