Thought Pyramid Art Centre is the leading modern and contemporary art gallery in Abuja and Lagos Nigeria. Its mission is to collect, conserve, and study modern and contemporary art of Africa and the African Diaspora. The Centre exhibits the art of our times from a variety of perspectives while situating them within the context of a global art movement. The Centre was constructed in the heart of Abuja (Wuse 2) and Lagos (Ikoyi) as a space to enable new ideas to be incubated and nurtured; where there are no boundaries between art, craft, design, and thought; and where thinkers will meet to dialogue on new directions for African art.

Thought Pyramid Art Centre seeks to recruit a Programme Officer to:

  • Develop programmes to realize the vision of the Centre Create partnerships and sponsorships to advance the mission of the Centre
  • Develop and execute the Centre’s media strategy including fresh, exciting, cutting-edge and effective communication and media initiatives
  • Manage all social media platforms including the website,blog, vlog, and newsletter
  • Manage the Centre’s media and communications exposure in line with its mission of “triggering a newfound appreciation, followership of, and engagement with the arts in Nigeria”

Qualifications/Skills needed

Must be an Art lover and enthusiast

Bachelors and/or professional qualification in the Arts, Curatorial Services, Gallery Management or any other related field

Excellent writing and editorial skills

Strong internet and social media capabilities

Basic graphic design and Photoshop skills

Strategic, creative and problem solving mindset
