A few months ago, 10-year-old Kheris Rogers had transferred schools because of the immense bullying. She was being targeted by schoolmates who picked on her because of her dark skin tone. Taylor, who is her elder sister became increasingly concerned about the fact that her baby felt terrible because she noticed she was different. Taylor told BuzzFeed News, “She would cry a lot, and talk about how she doesn’t like her skin tone.”

So, Taylor posted on Twitter and showed off her baby sister’s awesome melanin and beautiful skin…and it went viral! When Kheris saw the positive feedback she got from people praising her fly complexion, she and her big sister Taylor decided to take it further by telling the bullies to suck it! They created the Flexing In My Complexion phrase on t-shirts for all of us to enjoy.
