Are you a freelance website designer or independent graphic designer who excels at creating designs for beautiful website project, using Adobe XD, Photoshop, or Figma?
For this role, Buddy is searching for an independent contractor who can spearhead the design of functional, elegant, and mobile-responsive website project.
Commonly Buddy develops marketing and e-commerce websites for small to mid-sized businesses, most often using WordPress and Elementor. Development skills are not required for this role. Rather, we would look to you to design the website in Figma, XD, or Photoshop, and hand over the designs and assets to a developer, who would create the functioning website project.

Buddy Web Design & Development is a growing and entrepreneurial website design and development company headquartered in the Grand Rapids, Michigan area. Buddy has built a portfolio of clients across the United States. We are currently seeking a talented and experienced web designer who would be able to help take on occasional project work as Buddy’s workload grows. This work can be done remotely and part time, according to a schedule of your choosing, provided milestones are met. It’s also important to be available for occasional project calls with clients, as needed per the project.

An ideal person for this opportunity will have experience working in a freelance and independent contractor capacity, coupled with expertise in designing exceptional websites. An ideal candidate will bring high attention to detail and best practices, a high degree of professionalism and integrity, coupled with a comfort in working in an evolving, entrepreneurial environment that can have ambiguity at times.
Nice to Have
If you happen to also have more broad graphic design skills such as branding, logos, and general graphic design work, that’s an extra cherry on top.
