Back in school, we enjoyed being able to pick bits and pieces of nothingness to form whole objects that came from our imaginations. But, somehow we lost or perhaps broke that interest that propels us to explore nothingness. Seeing Maya Stein’s 100 Day Project of portrait creations bring back the long lost memories of those days of childlike soaring and unfettered imagination. In this project, she creates portraits from trash, forming eyes, nose and all the protrusions of the human face.Maya Stein's Portrait
