The 2022 HBI Artist Program provides an artist the opportunity to have a solo exhibition for twelve weeks at the Kniznick Gallery at Brandeis University. The selected artist is awarded a $2500 exhibition stipend and a $500 honorarium to produce two programs during the exhibition. In addition to the physical exhibition in the gallery, the HBI Artist exhibition will be viewable online and have an accompanying printed exhibition catalogue.

Proposals must relate to HBI’s mission of developing fresh ideas about Jews and gender, and we invite submissions that emphasize the experiences of Jews of color.

The online exhibition and public programs will run from March–June 2022.

Eligibility: Applicants must be at least 18 years of age and not enrolled in a degree program.
