Poetry can be soft, tender and petals of darkness, shown to us by Poets. It can also be fireworks and showers of sparkles, lighting you up and shattering every shadow tormenting you. Poetry can be the thing between your teeth, and the unspoken words stuck like a bone in your throat. We are exceedingly thankful for Poets who get these words unstuck and express all the things hidden, cradling in our collar bones. Poets who shine a light into our deep fears.
Indian Poet, Swati Barik is one of such wondrous beings that show us Poetry is not a plaything, but a necessity for the survival of the human heart. Her words are both shield and sword for the soul.

Here are a couple of her poems that we love.
