Komal Kapoor is probably the most visual Poet that I have come across, and I mean that literally and figuratively. Komal’s writes her poems and publishes them with art she has sourced from visual artists. I used to think Rupi Kaur was the most visual poet I know until I discovered Komal Kapoor (thank you Internet)!
Her words are simple, alive and full of experience – these experiences that she conveys in her poems give them a weighty life, the kind that makes you look back at the past and sigh or smile.
One of the things that make me adore Komal Kapoor’s poetry is the eclectic and pseudo-biological/astronomical illustrations that accompany the words, giving the poems a beautiful Sciart feel.
Komal has truly mastered the art of wistful words, thoughts, and lingering onomatopoeia.
